Removing Algae and Mildew
on Austin Storefronts
Hot, humid summers can encourage algae and mildew on storefront facades in Austin, affecting the first impression customers get. ATX Clean Pressure Washing works from the top down, washing the facade first, then cleaning the glass and walkway. Call us at (512) 379-6087 to schedule a storefront cleaning.
The Storefront Surfaces
We Clean
A storefront is several surfaces, and each one takes the method that suits it. Here is every part of the front we clean, and how we handle each.
Facade, Fascia and Signage
The facade, fascia and signage get our soft-wash treatment. We put down algaecide for mildew and algae, or degreaser where grime has built up, let it dwell, then rinse it clean. The low-pressure approach lifts the growth without stressing the finish underneath. That goes for limestone fronts too, which take the same gentle wash.
Awnings
Our awning cleaning starts with algaecide and degreaser, then a water rinse, with a second pass where needed until they come clean. We keep the pressure low and take special care with the fabric and the frames.
Window Glass
Front and side windows get our window cleaning, with a squeegee and mop or a water-fed pole fitted with a soft-bristle brush and purified water. Which one we use comes down to the glass and how high it sits.
Door Glass
Your entry door glass gets the same squeegee or water-fed-pole treatment as the rest of the windows.
Walkways
We pre-treat the walkway by stain type, degreaser for oil and algaecide for organic growth, then pressure wash and rinse. We inspect it and run the treatment again where it helps. We get oil and rust looking much better, with targeted rust removal where it is needed. For the oldest stains that won't fully release, we tell you what to expect up front.
What Sets Our
Storefront Cleaning Apart
Here is what you get when our crew cleans a storefront, and why each piece matters to the front of your business.

Facade, Glass and Walkway in One Visit
A storefront clean combines three of our disciplines in a single visit. The facade takes our building wash, the glass takes our window-cleaning methods, and the walkway takes our concrete cleaning process. One crew covers the whole front, so it all looks finished at once instead of in pieces.

Spot-Free Glass From a Water-Fed Pole
Purified water run through a soft-bristle brush on our water-fed pole leaves the glass spotless and clear. The pole reaches the upper windows from the ground, and we switch to a squeegee and mop when the glass calls for it. Clean glass is the first thing a shopper notices about a storefront.

Top Down, So Nothing Gets Re-Soiled
We always start at the top of the storefront and finish at the walkway. Working in that order means nothing we have already cleaned gets re-soiled by runoff from the surface above it. It is a small step that keeps the result even from top to bottom.

Walkway Stains We Know How to Treat
Oil, rust, mildew, gum, graffiti, tire marks. We've treated every stain you can think of on every surface in Austin, with the latest equipment and chemistry, and we travel for training to stay sharp. The walkway your customers cross every day is where those marks collect, and that is the surface we know best.

How Our Storefront
Cleaning Works
The Call and the On-Site Walkthrough
Reach out by call, text, email or our online form, and a real person answers and asks what you need cleaned. We set a time to walk the storefront with you or your property manager, surface by surface. A written proposal follows from our office, and the visit costs you nothing.
The Signed Proposal and Vendor Paperwork
Every job runs on a signed proposal, so the scope and the schedule are agreed before we start. If your landlord or property manager needs vendor paperwork, we supply a COI, a W-9 and references on request.
Scheduling and the Heads-Up
Once the proposal is signed, automated email and text confirmations and reminders keep you in the loop. The day before, a prep note goes out by text, and another text lands when the crew is on the way. We schedule around the property, whether that means business hours, after hours or overnight.
The Clean, Top Down
On cleaning day, we cover or seal anything that should stay dry, then wet down the surrounding landscaping before we start. The order is facade, fascia, signage and awnings first, then the window and door glass, then the walkway last. Each surface gets its own method, using our soft-wash system, algaecide, degreaser, water-fed pole, pressure washer, and a squeegee and mop.
Before-and-After Photos and the Walk-Around
When the storefront is finished, we take before-and-after photos of the work. If you are on site, we walk the front with you. The job is invoiced on standard 30-day terms, and if anything looks off, we come back and fix it.
Recurring Storefront
Cleaning Schedules
A storefront looks its best on a set schedule. We run storefronts weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually, matched to the property and how fast it shows dirt. Regular visits keep the front from building up, so each clean stays a light touch-up rather than a heavy reset. Tell us about your storefront and we will recommend the frequency that keeps it looking opened-yesterday. The more often we come out, the better the rate on each visit.
Our Storefront
Cleaning Guarantee
Make-It-Right Satisfaction Guarantee
We aim for perfect, but if anything isn't right, tell us; we'll come back out, touch it up and make it right. We don't disappear after the invoice. That promise covers our workmanship on every storefront we clean. Some stains set too deep for any cleaning to fully lift them, and we are upfront about that from the start. What we clean, we stand behind.
What Customers Say
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a storefront cleaning take?
Most storefronts are done in a day at most. The exact time depends on the size of the storefront and how many parts it has, such as the facade, awnings, glass and walkway. A small front with simple glass goes quickly; a large multi-surface storefront takes longer.
How much does storefront cleaning cost in Austin?
Every storefront is priced to its own size and scope, so you get a free custom proposal rather than a one-size number off a chart. We put that proposal together after the on-site walkthrough. Choose a recurring schedule and each visit comes at a better rate.
Will cleaning damage my awning or signage?
No. Awnings and signage are cleaned at low pressure, never blasted. We take special care with awning fabric and frames. If an awning is already damaged and cleaning risks making it worse, we'll tell you rather than take the job.
